Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2017) the eight Teams have retained a total of 140 players; December 15 was the deadline for the teams to decide on the retention.
In Total of Eight Teams The two new franchises Rising Pune Supergiants(RPS) and Gujarat Lions(GL) retained their respective skippers MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina and their Key Players like Ravichadran Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Steven Smith in Rising Pune Supergiants while on other hand Ravindra Jadeja, Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Bravo, Aaron Finch in Gujarat Lions. Kings XI Punjab have the maximum Balance of Salary Cap with INR 233,500,000 while Mumbai Indians have the least INR 115,550,000 left with them for the auction.

In total of 140 Players, 44 players are overseas players which was part of IPL 2016 season.Some of Team Have released their Big Players like Rising Pune Supergiants(RPSG) has released 11 players in Total that includes Kevin Pietersen, Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma.In other side Gujarat Lion(GL) Released their 8 Players including Speed gun Dale Steyn from South Africa Due to his Injury.
Sunriser Hyderabad(SRH) the 2016 Indian Premier League(IPL) Champions Released their 6 Players and include some of players into their squad. They Spent total of 45.1 Crore for their total 17 players including 5 overseas players and still have 20.9 Crore in their balance. Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) have 20 players in their squad including 8 overseas players most by any other team in IPL 2017 and The biggies names are Chris Gayle, AB De Villiers, Shane Watson, Mitchell Starc and many other players in squad by spending total of 53.175 Crore, they have still balance of 12.825 Crores.
Mumbai Indians(MI) have total of 20 Players including 6 overseas players in their squad with total spending of INR 54.445 Crore and has least balance of INR 11.555 Crores. Delhi Daredevils(DD) Have Total spending of INR 44.5 Crore for their 18 players including 5 overseas players in their squad and balance remain with them is 21.5 Crore to pick new players.
Kings XI Punjab(KXIP) Have 19 players in their squad including 5 overseas players and total spending of 42.65 Crore and maximum balance in their purse compare to other franchise a total of 23.35 Crore to add new players in their squad. Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) the 2 time Champion team has released many players in their side and having of 14 players in total including 4 overseas players with Total spending of 46.25 Crore and balance left in Purse is 19.75 Crores.
The overall spending by the eight franchises was INR 3,846,700,000.
