Thigh-five:Shikhar Dhawan celebrates the MoS award in Unique way

Shikhar Dhawan’s thigh-five: The entertainer on the field with his bat and off the field with his thigh-five during presentation ceremony.

The on going India vs Australia T20 series, during the 3rd & final T20I match India defeated Australia by 6 wickets and won the game, however series leads to a tie with 1-1.As the 2nd T20I between India vs Australia abandoned due to heavy rain and ends with the no-result at MCG.

Shikhar Dhawan the entertainer scored a half century in the first T20I against Australia and that remain the highest individual score in the series by him, he scored 76 runs in just 42 balls with 2 big hits and 10 fours, he also scored most fours for his name in the series. In the 3rd T20I the opening pair of Rohit-Dhawan gave a good start to the team of 67 runs then the Run Machine Kohli joins them to chase and lead the team to the victory with Dinesh Karthik and tied the series by 1-1. Shikhar Dhawan was highest run getter in the series and thus, for scoring most runs in the series, he was awarded the Man of the Series.

The Indian opener Shikhar Dhwan thanked the Indian crowd, for supporting the country. Well crowd was enjoying and cheering-up for his batting performance during the 3rd T20I, Dhawan hopes that the support will continue the same way in Test and Odi series in India tour to Australia series.

Shikhar Dhawan walked up on the stage where the host Neroli Meadows was standing with a young mascot to give a trophy to the winner. Dhawan picked him up in his hands before accepting the trophy. Apart from entertaining the audiences with the bat, Dhawan is usually seen doing something or the other for them on while fielding.

Shikhar Dhawan also praised audience and said he knows how to make them cheer louder. Then he did his signature thigh-five that he does after taking a catch. The Indian fans at MCG just roared louder in appreciation. He was amazed by the support for India at MCG ground.

“Guess they love me a lot and I’ll make them cheer more (does the thigh-five). Tremendous to see Indian support. I’m sure they’ll support us for the Tests too. It was fun. As a batsman, when you score it always feels good. It’s good that we were able to draw this series,” Shikhar Dhawan said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
